Meet the Artist

Hello, my name is Janet Greer. I have been painting for about 15 years off and on. I started painting when my husband and I moved from a large city to a small town in Kentucky where he is from.  I also love to decorate.  My husband, Leo and I have been married for 18 years and we have remodeled 6 houses in that time.  He rebuilds them and I decorate them.  We are quite a team.  Our current home is what we call our "retirement home" and we hope to stay in it in our retirement years. It is a charming little yellow cottage, although it did not look like that when we bought it.  Like I said I have been painting for about 15 years, my husband encourages me as when I married him, I could not draw a straight line.  God has blessed me with him and my talents without which I couldn't do what I do.  I have done several craft shows over the years and have exhibited my art in many local venues and have been fairly successful on a local level.  Somewhere along the line, I started painting vintage cake servers and now people come to the craft shows looking for them.  I have also sold several of my paintings through local exhibitions and craft shows.  It is so rewarding to have people come back and tell you they love something they have purchased from you.

I have always loved vintage and victorian things. I love teapots, lace and all things victorian but since purchasing this little "cottage" I have become involved in decorating in the cottage shabby chic style and I have fallen in love with all of the roses and romantic accessories to go into decorating a cottage.

It is my dream come true to have this website. Ps. 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I hope you will grab a cup of tea, sit awhile and enjoy your visit.

Come back soon.  I hope to add new merchandise on a regular basis.

Thank you again for stopping by.
